Rawge's Collection of Crosses, Art,  and Photographs
at TheCrossWeb.com

When I was a kid, I fell in love with the cross as a symbol of hope. I used to draw it in every conceivable form, from the bold square corners of the Latin cross to the fancier shapes of the fleur-de-lis and the pointed ends of the beautiful Passion cross. I whittled them out of wood and maple-rock and made them out of paper and cardboard. I would draw them in the dirt wherever I went, and leave them for someone else to find. Thanks to Doug Grey, Here is a great online resource web site that shows many of the various cross shapes and other Christian symbols.

CLICK HERE to read the story about how I got interested in the cross.  I still make them at every opportunity, from cross-shaped  wind-chimes to big wooden crosses for my yard. I've made them from old weathered 100-year old wood and from wood salvaged from church renovations.  I've also photographed them for many years and created them in other various digital art-forms. It is a wonderful symbol and reminder of all that it means to walk with our Lord.  The Apostle Paul said , "As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world died long ago, and the world's interest in me is also long dead." Galatians 6:14 NLT

Below are links to some of my favorite cross photos and photos of crosses I have built.

Photos of traditional crosses that I've found in churches, cemeteries, and other places around the Country. I have photographed crosses from New York to California.

Photos of crosses that I've found in less traditional settings, from road-signs and rocks to tree-limbs and the backs of animals. Once you start looking, there are crosses everywhere! They occur in nature and "accidentally" in all aspects of our culture. Email Me Here if you have found any interesting ones.

Cross art, free desktop wallpaper, clip-art and images for your Christian church newsletter or web site. I have given a few talks on Christian responsibility to our natural environment and many of these were created to use as slides within my presentation.

Photos of crosses that I have made. I have made them from wood, metal, cement, paper, and just about anything else I can get my hands on.
